French Language Consultant at B Lab East Africa

Responsibilities:

• Language Consultation: Provide expert advice on French language usage, grammar, and style to ensure clarity, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness in all communications.
• Translation Consultation: Review and provide feedback on translations to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Cultural Insights: Offer valuable insights into French culture, customs, and sensitivities to inform strategic communication and marketing initiatives.
• Terminology Review: Assist in developing and maintaining a glossary of French terminology to ensure consistency and accuracy in all materials.
• Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit French-language content for clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.
• Online Session Facilitation: Conduct and facilitate online sessions for French-speaking audiences, including webinars, workshops, and training sessions.
• Real-time Translation: Provide simultaneous or consecutive translation services during online engagements and meetings with French-speaking participants.

Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Native fluency in French, with excellent written and spoken skills.
• Cultural Expertise: Deep understanding of French culture, customs, and social norms.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, both verbally and in writing.
