French Teacher - Junior School at St. Mary's School - Nairobi

Once successful, you will be responsible for:

• Presenting lessons in a comprehensive manner and facilitate learning through educational in-door and out-door activities and events;
• Structure the information well by outlining the content and aims of the lesson, and summarizing key points as the lesson progresses;
• Promoting individualized instruction to each student through mentoring and coaching students on how to develop interest in the respective subject(s);
• Participate in setting and marking internal examinations;
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback on their performance;
• Submit daily reports of performance to the immediate supervisor and to the Junior School Coordinator;
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings;
• To actively help prepare students for extra-curricular activities related to the respective subjects.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Diploma in Education with a bias in the relevant subjects to apply for; a degree will be a definite advantage.
• Proven experience in teaching for at least 3 years
• Must be registered with TSC
• Experience in teaching under the Cambridge International Program will be an added advantage.
