Slicing and packaging machine operator at Gap Recruitment Services Limited

  Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and control packaging equipment:  Positions and tightens cutting blades and adjusts guides to accommodate size of product to be sliced.
• Ensure proper bags and sealing for each variety
• Ensure proper slicing of produce according to the standard guidelines
• Verify weights and order completions
• Record information such as down time, waste, order completions, package verification, metal detector checks, finish product scoring etc.
• Monitor for foreign material all the time especially at change over and ensure metal detection checks
• Ensure proper placement of product in trays and pallets
• Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items

   Key skills & Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a slicing and packaging machine operator.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English Language
• Time management skills are essential for the job.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to reason and think quickly.
