    Gender Based Violence (GBV) Specialist

    Job Summary:

    The Gender Based Violence (GBV) Specialist will oversee the implementation of GBV intervention in the ENTRENCH program through providing overall coordination and technical assistance to the program staff to ensure that comprehensive GBV interventions are provided in supported facilities.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Implement strategies to ensure timely GBV prevention, early identification, response and linkage to care.
    • Provide coordinated technical support and oversight to staff and mentors to enhance capacity to provide comprehensive GBV identification and response in line with the national guidelines.
    • Lead the development and dissemination of standard operating procedures to guide the day-to-day provision of quality GBV services in health facilities
    • Coordinate   LIVES, LOVES and post violence care trainings for providers
    • Support community response teams to ensure survivors of AGYW are supported appropriately and in time in the community.
    • Coordinate leveraging of resources, linkages, and referrals for other essential services to ensure survivors of GBV receive comprehensive care packages.
    • Work with MoH to ensure provision of high quality GBV services in supported facilities.
    • Conduct routine monitoring and evaluation of program data and provide recommendations for program improvement.
    • Work with the ministries of Gender and Health to organize relevant stakeholders’ forums to discuss county GBV activities.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

    • Degree in Nursing/Clinical Medicine or
    • Nursing/Clinical medicine Diploma with Degree in social/health sciences
    • Minimum 5 years experience coordinating GBV activities at county or national level
    • Trainer of Trainers in LIVES, LOVES and post-violence clinical care
    • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work as a team leader and player
