Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills):
Academic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Finance, Strategic Studies, Project Management, Commerce, Strategic Planning, Business Development, ICT, Statistics, Engineering, Law, Actuarial Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• First level university degree in any of the following fields: Finance, Strategic Studies, Commerce, Strategic Planning, Business Development, ICT, Statistics, Engineering, Law, Actuarial Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.
• Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies:Undertaken a Strategic Leadership/Management course from a recognized institution.

Previous relevant work experience required:

The candidate should have the following work experience:

• Minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience, five (5) of which should be at Management level.
• Experience in conceptualizing, formulating and implementing business strategies in shipbuilding industry is desirable. International experience in similar role will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the Disciplined Services at managerial/senior command of at least 5 years is an added advantage
