GEO DATA BASE OFFICER II - REF KFS/GDBO/II/2024 - KFS GRADE 8 - (2) POSITIONS
Entry Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing or Geo-informatics, Geography and Environmental Studies, Environmental planning and Management, Natural Resource Management or any other related field from a recognized University.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcMap, PostGIS, QGIS, R studio to Microsoft Office, Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD), ERDAS, IDRIS
• Relevant work experience of at least three (3) years
• Proficiency in Computer applications
• Fulfils chapter six of the constitution

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving, checking, processing, documenting of forestry Geo-Spatial records from public and private producers.
• Development of databases
• Update of forest resources tabular databases
• Maintenance of non-geospatial database(s) within KFS
• Produce data reports and data mining queries
• Prepare forest resource datasets to support annual work plans and annual reports
• Plan, design, and automate GIS database construction and quality controls.
• Manage data development and access with other user departments.
• Protect the safety, integrity, and privacy of data.
• Web programming and web applications
• Promote public values and principles
• Mentoring and coaching
