Head of Collections at Collection Africa Limited

Role Description

• We are seeking a full-time Head of Collections to lead and optimize our collections operations. Based in Nairobi County, Kenya, this is an on-site role responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of the debt recovery processes, managing a team of collection professionals, and driving operational excellence. Core responsibilities include designing and implementing collection strategies, monitoring results, analyzing key performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also involves liaising with clients, providing strategic guidance to achieve recovery goals, and fostering strong relationships to protect customer trust.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Debt Collection and Collections Management
• Strong Analytical Skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Proven skills in Team Management, including leading, mentoring, and motivating large teams
• In-depth knowledge of Finance principles relevant to credit management and debt recovery
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work on-site in Nairobi and manage multi-location operations effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage
• Knowledge of debt recovery technology and tools will be beneficial
