Head of Financial Operations at Lori Systems

The Position

Lori is seeking a process-obsessed Head of Financial Operations to work at the intersection of the company’s finance and operational functions, reporting to the CFO and executing on Lori’s mission and ambitious growth strategy. You will be in charge of building systems for scale and efficiency, while ensuring a seamless internal and external stakeholder experience on all things finance. The role will require the ability to map out best in class procedures across the company’s key revenue and cost of sales flows (including controls, reporting, tax) and command cross-functional teams (commercial, operations, product) on implementation in different markets. Success in this role is defined by delivering a streamlined financial organization to further advance the logistics infrastructure of the future.

Responsibilities

• Build systems to optimize processes and resources between finance and other business functions
• Create structures to enable best in class working capital management (e.g., speed and accuracy of invoicing, collections efficiency, payables management, governance and key metrics)
• Drive cross-functional teams on execution
• Audit and manage all country-level Finance teams on process rollout and adherence
• Lead the implementation of new IT-systems (ERP)
• Support the CFO and Financial Controller on enhancing Lori’s global accounting practices, tax strategies, controls and reporting policies
• Setup standards to operationalize new financial products and financing across markets to generate competitive advantage
• Work closely with product teams to design, launch and drive the adoption of tech systems in finance

Requirements

• Deep commitment to the vision of Lori
• 5+ years of work experience in either financial / business / core operations in a high-growth environment, or a top consulting firm (with both analytical and heavy operational projects)
• Detail-obsessed, structured and analytical
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated exposure to core financial processes of a business
• Proven track record of implementing systems and managing change
• Experience using and / or deploying fin tech tools including data analysis and 3p tools

Nice to have

• Qualified CPA or equivalent
• Worked in emerging markets
• Worked with product teams on build and launch
• Background in supply chain / logistics
