Overall Purpose:

As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean, orderly, and well- maintained. Your role is crucial in providing a positive experience for our guests through exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Train, motivate, and mentor housekeeping staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
• Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Assist in cleaning duties as needed, especially during peak times or staff shortages. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

Expected Skills, Competencies & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
• Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or similar setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in using housekeeping management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with composure.
