HTS Provider – Mariakani at Kenya AIDS NGOs Consortium (KANCO)

KANCO is recruiting one (1) HTS PROVIDER – MARIAKANI. She/ he will be responsible in the provision of HIV Testing, counselling and linkage of HIV positive clients to care and treatment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Providing quality HIV counseling and testing services to clients and ensuring clients receive correct results.
• Create awareness and provide education on the provision of HIV Testing and Counselling.
• Compile and submit HTS reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to the supervisor.
• Collecting quality data, documenting, compiling and submitting all reports.
• Providing referrals and linkages to care facilities and other supporting organization.
• Maintaining a well-documented HTC registers.
• Storing and using the HTC commodities according to the Kenya national guidelines.
• Supervising and providing guidance to peer educators and other community volunteers.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all activities to preserve dignity of all clients.
• Conduct timely requests for all requirements for undertaking HTS activities.
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma  in Guidance and counselling, health_related or social science field.
• Atleast 2 years work experience and preferably  in  an NGO  
• Experience in working as an HTS Counsellor in a health setting is an added advantage.
• He\she should  have good interpersonal and communication skills {both verbal and non verbal}
• Ability to work and results with minimum supervision.
