Hypertext Preprocessor Programmer at Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT)

Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) seeks to recruit competent and highly experienced Hypertext Preprocessor Programmer reporting to the Feedback Officer. The programmer will upgrade the Tusemezane feedback system to include new features and update existing features. Tusemezane is a web-based feedback system that integrates bulk SMS, SMS, Short code and voice in one system. Tusemezane is also a website, an Intranet that can only be accessed with a username and a password.

The specific objectives for this assignment are:

• Trouble shoot, diagnose and upgrade the SMS back up system that archives all the text messages received through the Farmer Communication Programme feedback number.
• Development of an Interactive Voice Response integrated in the Tusemezane system.
• Additional analytics and synchronize contacts that interact with the short code conversations to the farmer contacts already added in farmer groups, to be able to see the name, and any other contact details.
• A graph that can be filtered by different conversations, which shows the interactions over a duration for a conversation, with the different session states.
• Add export to excel for crucial table data; – for example ability to export the contacts that have interacted with a conversation, with aggregation of the different session States & start Dates at the bottom.
• Backup database, create a program to ensure regular data backup to a different server, to avoid data loss.
• The consultant will be expected to provide technical support of the system for a period of one year.

Duration of the upgrade

• The assignment will be carried out from May 2023-May 2024.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in IT or related
• Impeccable and demonstratable IT skills especially in programming.
• Ability to code using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP).
• Experience in building a similar system
