IB Teacher of Digital Design and Computer Studies at Aga Khan Academy

The position

The Digital Design and Computer Studies Teacher will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing high-quality lessons within the broad, balanced, and differentiated Design curriculum and IB lesson plan template using a variety of approaches in both the MYP Digital design and the IB Diploma Programme as well as supervising Internal Assessment, Personal Project and Extended Essay.

Duty & Responsibilities

• To plan curriculum documents in a collaborative manner to reflect the standards and practices of the Academy. 
• To engage in effective teaching practice that embraces inquiry teaching and learning methods and differentiate activities to meet the needs of all students. 
• To authentically assess, record and track the progress of all students.  
• To communicate necessary programme information to all stakeholders.  
• To resource programme needs effectively and ensure careful maintenance of existing inventory. 
• To actively participate in the life of the Senior School and the Academy as a whole, in and out of normal school hours.  

The requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from recognized university
• Must have internationally recognized teaching qualification or a B.Ed/M.Ed
• At least 2 years of experience teaching in the IB MYP/DP
•  S/he must be proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PYTHON, PHP and any other coding languages as well as knowledgeable and experienced in databases and other teaching applications.
