    ICT Local Support Engineer - 2 Positions

    Wasoko wishes to recruit Two ICT Support officers to assist in ICT local support. One officer will be based in Eldoret and thus support (Kakamega, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru and Kisii) and the other at Nairobi HQ to support the IT services and infrastructure i.e. Desktop, Systems Administration (basic application support), Network Support (LAN/WAN), Telecommunications, Power management (Uninterruptible Power Supply-UPS and Air conditioning-AC), IT Security Administration and Service Desk Function services, with the core objective of ensuring systems reliability and availability.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Installation & configuration of basic applications such as Microsoft Office, google chrome.
    • Provide daily IT support to all Wasoko users across all the countries.
    • Installing and configuring windows on new and old laptops and PCs
    • Provided the 1st level end-user support.
    • Provide hardware and software support for all ICT infrastructure.
    • Create, change, and delete users’ accounts per authorized request.
    • Performing preventive maintenance of Laptops, Printers, and PCs.
    • Troubleshooting and repairing all hardware faults.
    • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of H/W.
    • Provide the first line of support and second-line support.
    • Manage, configure and administer cloud Infrastructure such as google.
    • Liaising with vendors on delivery of ICT services.

    Requirements:

    • Must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Proven record of 3 years of work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.
    • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
    • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
    • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
