ICT Officer – Grade Ncpd 6 One (1) Post at National Council for Population and Development

Basic Salary:  Kshs 44,000 (Minimum) –Kshs.78,920 (Maximum)  
Job Purpose:

• This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.  Duties and responsibilities will entail: -  

Duties and Responsibilities  

• Repairing ICT equipment and associated peripherals; 
• Receiving and installing ICT equipment; 
• Configuring new ICT equipment; 
• Performing routine systems, application and network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control of records;  
• Configuring and testing of computer hardware and software n including network appliances; 
• Installing of server software and upgrading of existing servers; 
• Performing routine offsite backups for NCPD critical data testing and drills; 
• Patch management on applications, systems and appliances; 
• Website design and maintenance;  
• Setup and maintenance of applications including Email, ERP and database; 
• Managing helpdesk application and generation of quarterly reports; 
• Installing necessary hardware and software upgrades into ICT network; 
• Documenting and reporting on standards, compliance including ISO, RISK Assessment, PC; 
• Monitoring network performance; and 
• Maintaining support systems and training of users. 

Requirements for Appointments  
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: - 

• Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from recognized institution; 
• Proficiency in information communication related field such as information security, system development, programming and networking;
