    Summary

    The Nursing Council  of Kenya wishes to recruit highly competent, passionate, dedicated and self-driven individuals to fill the following vacant position(s): NCK ICT Officer

    Terms and Remuneration

    • Terms of Service – Permanent and Pensionable
    • Salary: from KES. 103,816 – 123,311 per month

    Job specifications

    Duties and responsibilities entail:

    Business Systems and Integration Section

    • Assisting in database management activities such as migration, design, configuration, installation, and security of the organization’s data assets.
    • Troubleshooting, and resolving unforeseen issues such as IT downtime or zero-day exploits.
    • Identifying, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks.
    • Reviewing existing computer systems to understand capabilities, scheduling and workflow limitations, and make recommendations, including upgrading to and purchasing new equipment or software packages.
    • Providing training of end users on implemented Information Technology Based Solutions.
    • Developing web page infrastructure and applications with advanced graphics and features.
    • Monitoring web server and site technical performance. Implementing SEO strategies.
    • Promoting the Council’s online platforms working closely with the Corporate
    • Communications Division to ensure marketing campaigns achieve targets.
    • Performing data entry activities, data integrity and interrogation routines;

    Person specifications

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Technology or a related field from a recognized institution; and
    • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution

    Method of Application

    • Police Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
    • Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Clearance/Compliance Certificate;
    • A Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
    • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) i.e. Completed First Schedule (s.13) and a self-declaration form; and
    • A Clearance Certificate from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) in Kenya.
