Infection Prevention Control Nurse, MAP-AMR Project
Administer screening and enrollment questionnaire to patients in target wards/units
Conduct screening for C. auris colonization in target wards/units
Maintain a register of all samples collected and ensure results are received and updated on the appropriate patient records
Ensure data is collected accurately and resolve any discrepancies with the data team
Train and mentor clinical, auxiliary, housekeeping and environmental services (public health) staff in infection prevention and control of antifungal resistant pathogens
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
Job specifications
An applicant must have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent with a pass in English
He or she must have a Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse or a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, or equivalent
Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and have a valid practice license
Additional training in infection prevention and control will be an added advantage
He or she must have at least five (5) years working experience post qualification
Experience in infection prevention and control in a large hospital
Be a team player with excellent communication skills
