Information Communication Technology Officer (PA-K GRADE 6) | ICT/004/2022 at Ministry of Education, Science and Technology

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

1. Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science,   Business IT, Software Engineering, ICT Project Management, Computer Engineering or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution
2. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution

Responsibilities:

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre, an Information Communication Technology Officer will be deployed in the Information Communication Technology Department to assist in;

1. providing end user support and training users on effective and efficient use of ICT facilities
2. Developing documentation of computer programs according to instructions and specifications;
3. Installing and configuring computer systems and solutions;
4. Maintaining application systems;
5. Maintaining up to date equipment register;
6. Installing, configuring and monitoring Local Area Network components;
7. Administering and managing users in the Active Directory, e-mail server and User applications;
8. Maintaining an up-to-date ICT equipment register and issuance register;
9. Updating and maintaining PAK’s website; and
10. Ensuring Business continuity by performing regular data and application backups
