Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

1. At least ten (10) years relevant work experience, five (5) of which must have been at a management level
2. Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields: Education, Sociology, Social Work,  Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
3. Masters degree in any of the following fields: Education, Sociology, Social Work,    Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
4. Certificate in Management Course lasting for at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
5. Membership to a relevant professional body;
6. Proficiency in computer applications skills;
7. Met the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya;
8. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinating development and review of standards, guidelines, tools and   methodologies on the implementation of programs and projects
2. Initiating youth development programs and projects that inculcate core national     values and facilitating young people to contribute to national development priorities
3. Identifying and franchising commercial and operating centers; managing programs and projects in line with the International Award standards
4. Coordinating programme participants’ field activities; accrediting assessors; coordinating volunteer engagement; liaising with relevant stakeholders on programme development and awarding of certificates
5. Initiating the development and adoption of PA-K’s digital tools including the Online Record Book roll out, PA-K database and the Online Learning Hub roll out
6. Guiding the PA-K’s adoption and use of digital space to drive Brand awareness for growth, including; Brand Centre use, Social media and Website use and online global and National campaigns to support PA-K’s Programme Growth
7. Participating in the formulation of policy documents on PA-K Strategy
8. Undertaking the monitoring, evaluation and reporting on progress in the implementation of the digital platform roll out plan
9. Guiding the preparation of plans to facilitate achievement of the digital platform goals; and initiating the identification of key partners to support the implementation of PA-K’s digital platform plans

Job Term: Five (5) year contract renewable once

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre, a Programs & Projects    Coordination Officer will be deployed in the Programmes and Projects Coordination Department to assist in:-

1. implementing programs and projects in line with the International Award standards
2. engaging young people to contribute to national development priorities
3. supporting recruitment of Award Centres/leaders/participants;
4. coordinating programme participants’ field activities; and verifying Record Books

5. undertaking human resource planning and development;
6. coordinating mentoring and counseling programmes;
7. coordinating staff performance management
8. Identifying, designing and implementing training programs based on identified needs
9. reviewing periodic progress reports;
10. coordinating the preparation of budgets and HR procurement plans
11. Providing guidance on development and updating of the human resource database;
12. Reconciliation of staff complement and establishment;

4. Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly and periodic reports within schedule and up to standard.

6. Contribute to content development for PA-K’s publications.

6. Preparing and updating creditor, debtors and general ledgers
7. Ensuring statutory deductions are remitted on time
8. Generation for approvals and facilitating prompt delivery of sales invoices;
9. Preparing Monthly Bank Accounts Reconciliations
10. Responding to suppliers queries on payments status in liaison with user departments and Supply Chain Department
11. Preparation and maintenance of accurate prepayments, accruals and provision schedules
12. Reconciliation of all employee cost ledger account

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

1. At least served as a Driver for at least four (4) years;
2. Minimum KCSE C- (minus) or its equivalent;
3. The Occupational Trade Test II Certificate or its Equivalent
4. A valid driving license free from any current endorsements(s) for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive;
5. A defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from any other recognized institution;
6. A valid Certificate of Good Conduct;
7. A First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized institution;
8. An accident-free driving period of 5 years
9. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6.

Responsibilities:

1. Driving the PA-K vehicle as authorized;
2. Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein
3. Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;
4. ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road
5. Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;
6. Preparing and submitting reports on transport when need arises
7. Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments; and
8. Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle assigned

Requirements for Appointment

1. Served in the grade of Senior Graduate /Approved Teacher with Teachers Service Commission in Job Group ‘M’ or an equivalent for at least three (3) years

Duties and responsibilities will entail: planning and carrying out quality assurance and standards assessments; disseminating quality assurance and standards assessment reports to educational institutions; advising Education Boards on the standards of Education; coordinating school activities and programs; organizing pedagogical skills upgrading for teachers; organizing and coordinating co-curriculum activities; determining the Education Quality Index; and guiding, advising and appraising officers under their supervision
