Information Communication Technology Officer (Software Developer) at County Government of Nyeri

Duties and Responsibilities 
The key duties and responsibilities will be Software Development, specific duties and responsibilities will involve;  

• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web and/or mobile applications. 
• Building user-friendly interfaces and robust backend systems.  
• Writing clean, maintainable, and secure code. 
• Participating in system architecture and database design discussions Integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, and cloud services. 
• Troubleshooting software bugs and system issues. 
• Monitoring system performance and recommending improvements. 
• Maintaining proper documentation for systems and processes. 
• Providing technical support to users where necessary. 
• Implementing cybersecurity best practices. 
• Ensuring data protection and system integrity. 
• Supporting backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness measures. 
• Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.  

Requirements for Appointment 
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 

• Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID). 
• KCPE and KCSE Certificate (Attach certificates).  
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering. Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field. 
• Relevant experience of two years and above (Attach evidence).
