    nder the Water Act of 2016 the mandate of the Coast Water Works Development Agency is to develop and maintain sustainable water and sanitation infrastructure within the Coast region. The main transmission pipelines, including Mzima, Baricho, Marere and Tiwi - Likoni lines are maintained by the CWWDA. Pipeline patrols are critical in ensuring that leaks and bursts are detected and attended to on time to avoid wastage of the resources.

    Inspector, Electrical I - 1 Post

    Job purpose

    • The Inspectors, Electrical are responsible for inspecting and maintaining machinery, plants and vehicles.

    Job specifications

    Duties and responsibilities will entail:

    • Interpretation and carry out advanced electrical works, diagrams using correct symbols;
    • Testing of alternator relays and armature resistance and continuity etc.; repair of large battery charging plants;
    • Examination of batteries for slugging, sulphation;
    • Assist in interpretation of given drawing symbols; and
    • Repair of electrical components of machinery and plant equipment.

    Person specifications for appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • Served in the grade of Inspector, Electrical II for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
