Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade into this cadre. An officer at this level will work under supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:

• Maintenance of all types of groundwater and monitoring instruments;
• collection of rocks and water samples for analysis; and
• participate in hydro-geological and geophysical surveys.

Requirements for appointment

For Appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C (Plain) with at least a C (Plain) in English Language, Physical Science and Mathematics;
• Have undergone a three (3) years Technical Training course at the Kenya Water Institute or an equivalent institution and have obtained a Diploma or Certificate in Groundwater Technology or equivalent approved qualifications; and
• Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution
