Inspector I Mechanical at Coast Water Works Development Agency (CWWDA)

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• Maintaining machinery, motor vehicles and plants;
• Testing of mechanical equipment;
• Designing and modifying plant components;
• Preparing an inventory of mechanical inspection works and services;
• Recommending necessary repairs on motor vehicles and machinery;
• Preparing progress reports on mechanical inspections.

Person Specifications For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:

• Cumulative service period of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) years of which should have been at the grade of Inspector II (Mechanical) or in a comparable position;
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Mechanical Engineering; Automotive Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution;
• Membership with Kenya Engineering Technologist Registration Board (KETREB);
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
