    International Admissions - Genuine Student Support Officer

    About the Role

    • Navitas is seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven International Admissions – Genuine Student Support Officer to support one of its esteemed university partners, Griffith University, one of Australia's leading universities recognized globally for its excellence in teaching, research, and student success.
    • In this role, you will support Griffith University's international recruitment across the African region by helping to strengthen application quality, Genuine Student (GS) assessment, and compliance outcomes. Working closely with Griffith's Admissions team, you will contribute to effective risk identification, informed decision-making, and positive student outcomes.
    • You will conduct Genuine Student (GS) assessments by reviewing applicants' academic backgrounds, financial capacity, and immigration history to support visa integrity and risk management. You will also monitor GS trends and visa risk indicators, providing insights that contribute to quality admissions outcomes and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct Genuine Student (GS) assessments and financial checks in accordance with university policies and service standards.
    • Meet agreed KPIs for accuracy, turnaround times, responsiveness, and service quality.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records across relevant systems.
    • Escalate complex or high-risk applications in accordance with established procedures.
    • Provide constructive feedback on application quality and supporting documentation.
    • Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
    • Identify emerging GS and visa risks and recommend process improvements.
    • Support reporting activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor visa refusal trends and other risk indicators to support informed decision-making.

    Key Requirements

    • A relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in international admissions, compliance, case management, or customer service.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Knowledge of international education systems and academic qualifications.
    • Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills with a customer-focused approach.
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Highly organized with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital systems; additional language skills relevant to the African region will be highly regarded.

    Employment Type:

    • 1-year fixed term contract
