IT Development Officer at Watu Gari

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Administering system – for example, updating classifiers, users/roles/permissions, pricelists, promotions’ data etc.
• Testing system changes made by developers.
• Communicating with developers.
• Describing requirements for system changes.
• Informing all affected departments about system updates.
• Supporting other departments regarding system’s and data integrity issues.
• Supporting other departments with carrying out special operations – for example, bulk updating legal statuses, assigning PQOs in bulk etc.
• Training company’s staff regarding the use of the system, including preparing user manuals, presentations etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

Technical:

• Experience and/or excellent SQL/mySQL skills
• Strong excel/Google Sheets knowledge

The following technical knowledge and Experience would be a plus:

• Power Query
• Experience of Software testing
• Experience in Customer care

Non-technical:

• Attention to details
• Constructive & logical thinking
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Self-starter, target oriented
• Team player and good communicator
• Excellent English skills
