IT Technical Assistant at CMA CGM

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Cluster IT Manger.

IT Technical Assistant; The position reports to the Cluster IT manager – East Africa Cluster. The person will be the principal assistant, deputizing the IT manager and assisting him to manage all countries within the cluster. The person is required to have strong IT troubleshooting / analytical skills, with an experience in IT support.

Main tasks and Responsibility

• Support in management of IT stock, installation and running.
• Solve IT technical problems (eg systems or network & telecom) and implement change if needed.
• Support in applications development, deployment & integration automation.
• Support in integration plan of new IT solutions and technologies.
• Assist in software and hardware upgrade.
• Perform routine PC maintenance and updates for performance efficiency.
• Supervise and process help desk support requests.
• Liaise with service providers to maintain AC's, UPS's Internet lines and telephony lines.
• Any other IT related duties as may be directed by the IT manager

Skill Sets, Educational & Experience Criteria

• Degree in IT (Preferred) or a Diploma in IT
• CCNA, MCSA/MCSE

Skills

• Basic IT technical experience.
• Strong Network Troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of Wireless (Meraki) and Telephony (Cisco).
• Good Knowledge of office 365 product suite.
• Good Knowledge of Windows Server OS, NAS solutions and Vmware.
• Customer service/user support.
• Basic experience in management of contractors and suppliers.
• IT Security Knowledge
• Facilities Maintenance management
• Process / quality standards
• Drafting functional and/or technical IT analysis
