Kenya- Enterprise Development, SLC at ACDI/VOCA

ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking an Enterprise Development Specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in Kenya. The Livestock Market Systems (LMS) Activity is requesting volunteer assistance to provide targeted enterprise development support to the program in building and strengthening enterprises in northern Kenya. The selected volunteer will collaborate with LMS staff to review business plans and engage in stakeholder forums to identify additional support needs.

The assignment will last for approximately 6 months and due to current travel restrictions, this assignment will take place remotely. If international travel safely resumes during the assignment, the selected volunteer will have the option to travel to Kenya to complete the assignment. If travel becomes possible, ACDI/VOCA will provide for international flights, lodging and meals during the remainder of the assignment.

Volunteer Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with an MBA or another related topic.
• Approximately 2-5 years of experience working in business, finance, sales or marketing.
• Strong analytical and operational knowledge of enterprise development.
• Experience supporting business start-ups and expansion.
• Proficient computer and social media skills such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, etc.
