    Senior Assistant Research and Knowledge Management Officer

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the Manager, Research and Knowledge Management, the job holder is responsible for assisting the Department in specific activities.

    Job Responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: - 

    • Assisting in the collection of data, data entry, data analysis, interpretation and reporting processes for ongoing research
    • Assist with project reports and preparation of proposals and grants/budgets
    • Assist in innovating idea hypothesis testing, scoping, evaluation and concept experimentation
    • Assist in screening and sequencing of innovative ideas with overall strategic direction
    • Playing a role in the identification of new services/processes/businesses/products and support in their rollout
    • Assist in storage of information on courses and programmes offered by the Universities and Colleges
    • Assist in receiving, collating and retaining information on courses and programmes offered by Universities and Colleges
    • Ensure guidelines and procedures for management of resource Centre are adhered to
    • Assist in maintaining an effective resource centre
    • Responding to request for information
    • Assisting in sourcing, compiling, keeping and maintenance of resource materials on placement

    She/he shall also perform specific and Knowledge Management duties under supervision.

    Minimum Job Qualification

    For appointment to this position, a candidate must:

    • Have a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in the Public or Private sector
    • Have Diploma in any of the following fields:- Research Methodology, Statistics, Records Management, Library and Information Systems or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
    • Be proficient in Computer applications
    • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
