The Board shall comprise of four (4) members sourced through a competitive recruitment process.

• One person representing the men
• One person representing the women
• One person representing Persons with Disabilities
• One person representing the youth.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Board shall perform the following:

• Provide overall management and oversight of the fund;
• Advise the Executive Member for Finance on the appropriate guidelines and procedures for better management of the fund;
• Approving disbursement or utilization of the fund;
• Prepare annual report on the implementation of the fund for transmission to the Executive Member for Finance;
• Advising the Executive Member for Finance generally on the implementation of this Act
• The Secretary shall provide the secretariat services to the Board.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment, the applicant must;

• Be a holder of at least a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya, except Persons with Disabilities (PWD) which must hold at least a diploma in any field from a recognized institution and are registered with National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD);
• Working experience of not less than five (5) years in administration or management either in the public or private sector; and
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter (6) six of the Constitution of Kenya, specifically applicants must provide;
• A valid tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
• A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI);
• A valid Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); and
• A valid Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
• Terms of Service: Five (5) Years Contract.
