Kindergarten Teacher at Beacon of Hope Vocational Training College

RESPONSIBILITIES

The teacher will be responsible for the following:

• Preparing lessons and maintaining academic standards in the school
• Evaluating and preparing learners for assessments
• Teach according to individual students' and groups' educational needs, abilities, and achievements
• Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching
• Ensure consistency and improvement in curriculum delivery through teamwork and collaborative planning
• Serve as a role model and maintain learner discipline to create a conducive environment for learning
• Engage learners in curricular and co-curricular activities so as to identify, nurture and develop talent
• Organize and coordinate psychosocial and spiritual nurture activities for the class and give timely reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education – a degree would be an added advantage
• Five years teaching experience
• Registered with the Teachers Service Commission
• Mature Christian who is supportive of the beliefs, calling and vision of Beacon of Hope
• Certificate/Diploma in Leadership, Guidance and Counseling or any other relevant course is an added advantage
• Strong communication skills
• Leader in co-curricular activities
• Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• An effective team player that works collaboratively and effectively with others and passionate about learning and teaching.
