Laundry Intern at Imara Mediplus Medical Centre

JOB SUMMARY:

To carry out laundry services in accordance with Imara Hospital's defined policies, procedures, standards and strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collection of dirty linens and sorting.
• Staking of stained linens.
• Cleaning of the linen and machine operations.
• Ironing of linens, dustcoats and patient's uniforms.
• Issuing and refill of linen cabinets.
• Keep and maintain records of all the laundry room consumables.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain the laundry room in line with infection control standards.
• Transport linen to different sections within the hospital.
• Load and unload the machines during cycles.
• Fold laundry items manually in line with requirements.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies, procedures and best practise as per the hospital safety guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certificate Housekeeping and Laundry Operations or any related fields from a recognize Institution.
• 6 months attachement / Internship experience.
