Requirements for Appointment

• PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from a recognized/accredited University with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level or in research or in industry
  OR
• A Master’s degree qualification (Should be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral Degree qualification);
• Must have published at least three (3) papers in peer-refereed journals or three (3) chapters in a scholarly book or one (1) scholarly book;
• Be registered or registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable);
• Demonstrated potential for teaching and research;

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lecturing in area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
• Coordinating course projects and practical work;
• Preparing teaching/learning materials;
• Setting, invigilating and marking examinations/assignments;
• Carrying out research work in relevant field or specialization;
• Preparing students progress reports;
• Developing proposals for research funding;
• Writing journal articles and books;
• Presenting academic papers in conferences/seminars/workshops or symposia;
• Developing and reviewing academic programmes/curricula; and
• Supervising students’ projects.
