Legal Regulatory and Policy Environment at Kenya National Innovation Agency

This position requires a professional with skills and experience in the legal, regulatory and policy environment of ST&I. This includes appreciation of intellectual assets and corresponding legal counsel that supports the development, drafting, review, negotiation, amendment and archiving of relevant legal, regulatory and policy instruments. Further the position requires the ability to guide the effective roll out of legal, regulatory and policy instruments within the local and global context.

Qualifications

Experience in at least 2:

• Drafting, reviewing, negotiation, amendment, release, quality control, management, and archiving of legal, regulatory and policy instruments within the local and global context.
• Support of development and implementation of Intellectual assets management strategies. 
• Identification, protection and exploitation of Intellectual assets.

Professional qualifications

• Master's Degree in Law or any other relevant degree, with a specialisation in Intellectual Property law.
• A minimum of 10 years of Intellectual Property law experience.
• Professional training on matters to do with legal and regulatory frameworks of intellectual property.
