Introduction

The Job Holder is responsible for effective operation of RO Water Plant to deliver the required Quantity and Quality of water for use in Blending and CIP processes. This position is also responsible for asset care and inventory control of RO Machine related inputs

Specification

1. Area 1: RO Machine Operation
   1. Operate and Maintain Reverse osmosis Plant to produce optimum Quality and Quantity of potable water
   2. Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, and valves
   3. Maintain general administration of Ro Operations to ensure adequacy of water supply for Blending and CIP Processes
   4. Prepare Job cards for servicing and repairs
   5. Inspect the RO Plant on a continuous basis to ensure effective operations
   6. Establish & Implement CIP and Autonomous Maintenance Plans
   7. Ensure conformance to Preventive Maintenance Plans
   8. Maintain Operational logs and Maintenance reports and provide the same to Line Manager/Engineering on a daily basis
   9. Management of RO Inventory
2. Area 2: Reports
   1. Cleaning logs
   2. RO input/ output reconciliation reports
   3. Machine operation logs
   4. Equipment Maintenance Reports
   5. Processed Water Quality Reports
   6. 5s reports
   7. Safety reports
3. Area 3: Safety
   1. Work in line with the requirements of the Best Safety, Occupational, Health and Good Manufacturing
   2. Identify work place hazards for permanent removal

Requirements

1. A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or Related field
2. At least one (2) years’ experience in Ro Operations
3. Practical experience in use of MS packages.
4. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve problems intuitively
5. The Operator should be competent with experience of Ro Operations for a minimum of 2 years
6. Operator must have the ability to apply data to formulas that determine treatment requirements, flow levels and concentration levels.
