Machine Operator at Summit Recruitment and Search

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold high standards for safety, workmanship, product quality, and productivity.
• Operate surface grinders, CMC, slithers, lathes, shapers, and milling machines.
• Build, rework, maintain, and repair various tooling and press tooling within the toolroom.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues to minimize downtime in production.
• Accurately interpret and work from technical drawings, design prints, sketches, and sample parts.
• Maintain thorough documentation of tool modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and provide training for apprentices.
• Apply knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics to enhance tooling functionality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Production Option) from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in operating machining tools such as grinders, CMC, slithers, lathes, and milling machines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics principles for optimal tool performance.
