Job Summary

Reporting to General Manager, Geothermal Development, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: -

Duties and Responsibilities

• Development, repair and maintenance of civil structures and infrastructures
• Facilitating design of civil structures and infrastructure, contract management and administration
• Initiation of project activities, such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
• Overseeing inspection of projects, feasibility studies and supervision of external consultants and contractors to ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes
• Maintenance of civil works in power plant facilities.
• Coordinate construction of well pads
• Supervise construction of access roads within business areas and maintenance of the same
• Contract negotiation and participation during design and commissioning of new projects
• Monitor and control availability of plant and equipment.

Person Specifications

• Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years with at least four (4) years in a management role
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/construction management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
• Certificate in Leadership
• Membership of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK)
• Registered with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a Professional Engineer
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution
• Post Graduate diploma/ MSc. in engineering or Management will be an advantage;
• Must possess –Leadership, teamwork and motivational skills.
