    Manager – Customer Education & Brand In Trade - (22000138)

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Chapter Lead – Customer Education & Brand In Trade The role holder will be responsible for developing plans, executing projects / initiatives in support of Customer Education and Brand in the trade

    Responsibilities

    1. Plan and execute brand presence across the trade channels.
    2. Understand the customer’s learning needs and preferences (Shopper Insights)
    3. create different learning paths and programs to educate different types of customers
    4. create educational material in line with customer needs or demand
    5. review and safeguard the quality of educational material (old and new)
    6. have a good understanding of product adoption metrics 
    7. master different educational channels and related technologies to reach your goals
    8. expertise and have achieved proven results across various marketing communications disciplines including advertising, PR, digital, social, shopper marketing, etc.
    9. Internal trafficking and coordination of advertising.
    10. Proofing final artwork and securing endorsement through the Brand Guardianship.
    11. Manage the development of all above the line and below the line media executions in conjunction with the creative/ Media agency.
    12. Ensuring all project aspects as briefed are on track and on time.
    13. Weekly reporting on all activities for section.
    14. Prepare advertising and promotions case studies for the internal VF network review.
    15. Manage and update the intranet back up for all approved advertising materials on a monthly basis
    16. Innovation in Advertising practice and programs.
    17. Analysis of the industry and competitor issues as well as benchmarking in other industries to stay abreast of issues.
    18. Discuss and agree on budget requirements at project listing.  Monitor and control budget to ensure that project is on budget and all prerequisite paperwork is in place.
    19. Ensure pricing is as per agreed pricing with Safaricom Procurement for all work done.
    20. Keep updated budgeting reports per project.

    QUALIFICATIONS
     
    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

    1. A degree in marketing, business administration
    2. Min 5 years’ experience in a marketing function with a focus on brand management, Customer Education, advertising, Shopper Marketing
    3. Strong creative and conceptual skills.
    4. Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    5. An excellent planner and organizer
