    Role Description

    Key Role Responsibilities

    HR Reporting & Analytics:

    1. HR metrics analytics reporting; highlight risks and actionable data to make recommendations for process changes and action plans
    2. Design and develop HR management reporting and KPI reporting tools linked to business strategy
    3. Lead detailed analysis of the impact, efficiency & effectiveness of major HR activities as measured by key performance indicators
    4. Responsible for consolidation of information and data to produce Exco, Ops Review, and Board reports
    5. Assist during HR Budgeting cycle

    Strategic Workforce and Headcount Management:

    1. Support in developing a workforce Plan for MPA
    2. Support in scoping, sourcing, implementation of a workforce management system with Software Engineering
    3. Advice and work with line managers and HR to design optimal staffing levels and measure productivity
    4. Maintain a comprehensive, accurate and up to date staff and HC database/dashboard
    5. Monitor all departmental Exits, Movements, Joiners and Role Changes with the associated attrition rates

    Other HR initiatives:

    1. Rollout and implementation of MPA employee engagement programs and Health Wellness & Safety (HSW)programs with guidance from relevant Center of excellence teams in Vodacom and Safaricom
    2. To act as liaison between the HR Lead and other stakeholders both internal and external

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Apply if you have:

    3. Experience in a large corporate environment performing moderately complex to very complex employee analysis and research, using qualitative and quantitative measurement and data collection design principles in HR, Finance or Marketing.

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager – Events The position holder will lead and manage all Safaricom Events (internal and external) through insights led, digital first experiences that deepen consumer engagement and enhance brand perception.

    Responsibilities

    4. Briefing and managing various 3rd party suppliers and stakeholders involved in the delivery of the brand asset including activations and event management agencies.
    5. Working with corporate communications department, ensure ample publicity and media coverage is obtained for all assets in order to scale impact and amplify engagements beyond on ground activity/event
    6. Support brand communications teams to develop robust and relevant communication material that will resonate and speak to the targeted consumer segment, and ensure high awareness of asset engagement
    7. Work to deliberately create digital engagements that enhance consumer experiences and position Safaricom as a digital lifestyle provider
    8. Developing robust and accurate annual budgets that provide a clear picture of the end to end engagement costs of developing and executing the segment assets
    9. Develop clear and simple executive briefs for senior management to ensure top level support for asset initiatives
    10. Develop activations plans that leverage  asset platforms to drive relevant products and services that will enhance Safaricom’s value perception and grow market and wallet share
    11. Working with events team, drive high quality engagements for all asset events and ensure high quality of delivery and inclusivity within execution
    12. Working closely with security and Occupational Safety and Health teams, work to identify all risks present in execution of asset initiatives and obtaining relevant mitigations before execution
    13. Provide consistent operational and strategic reports to internal stakeholders that will add value to projects and ensure consistent improvement in delivery

    QUALIFICATIONS
     
    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

    1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
    2. Experience in experiential marketing
    3. Experience developing and executing marketing concepts, policies & practices
    4. Excellent communications skills – Both verbal and non-verbal
    5. Previous experience in event marketing and activations
    6. Wide degree of creativity and latitude
    7. Excellent attention to detail
    8. Minimum 4 years’ experience in experiential marketing and/or event management
