Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills):
Academic Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree from an accredited university/college in the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or similar qualifications with a strong technical background.
• First level university degree in any of the following fields: - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering from a recognized institution or similar qualification with a strong technical background combined with the required work experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree

Professional Qualifications: 
Professional qualification / certification as applicable.

• Undertaken Management/ Leadership Course from a recognized institution
• Ability to understand and administer ABS Classification guidelines, USCG and SOLAS and IMO requirements.
• Proficient in Computer application and computer aided applications.
• Able to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings.

Previous relevant work experience required: 

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience in an engineering or design or work preparation related field five of which should be in management in shipbuilding or ship maintenance projects.
• International experience in similar role in an established shipyard will be an added advantage
