Marketing brand Lead at SWVL

Job purpose
The purpose of this role is to help SWVL build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels. This role will report to the Global Head of Marketing.

Roles And Responsibilities
The areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Marketing
  1. Conducting marketing surveys to better understand the current marketing needs.
  2. Coming up with marketing campaigns and strategies and executing them to end within the stipulated timelines.
  3. Managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity.
  4. Coach, mentor and train the marketing team.
  5. Establish marketing goals/objectives based on past performance and market forecasts.
  6. Develop an annual marketing budget, upon planned objectives and strategy, with tangible tracking system on a monthly basis.
  7. Oversees current offerings, strategizing and executing initiatives for new products or services.
  8. Works with the relevant teams to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels.
  9. Approves and oversees the creative development of promotional materials, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects.
  10. Communicates with various media buyers and advertising agencies, to help marketing projects come to life.
  11. Works within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service.
  12. Tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns.
  13. Adjusts marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback.
• Brand
  1. Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.
  2. Designing digital media campaigns aligned with business goals.
  3. Creation of relevant content for Above the Line (ATL) and Below The Line (BTL) marketing campaigns.
  4. Suggesting and implementing direct digital marketing strategies to promote the brand and increase awareness.
  5. Creation of creative and relevant digital content for the website, blogs, press releases and social media.
  6. Managing end-to-end digital projects.
  7. Maintaining a strong online company voice through social media.
  8. Analysis of digital marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc) to help shape future digital marketing strategies
  9. Liaising with relevant teams to ensure brand consistency.
  10. Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and the Return on Investments for the same.
  11. Staying up to date with current digital marketing trends relevant to the brand for ensuring campaigns and promotions are relevant within each market.
  12. Maintaining awareness on best practice digital marketing techniques/tools to achieve successful marketing campaigns and promotions.
  13. Qualifications, Experience And Personal Qualities
  14. BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field.
  15. Minimum of 5 or more years of work experience in marketing is required. 2 of these should preferably be in a supervisory role.
  16. Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
  17. Hands-on experience with web analytics tools and be able to turn creative ideas into effective advertising projects.
  18. You should have demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
  19. Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or other media editing software.
  20. Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
