Job Description

• The job holder will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems. They will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of various mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and perform corrective actions on mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions for improving equipment performance.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot issues.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, as well as parts and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

•  Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven seven (5) years’ experience working as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and regulations.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
• Certification in relevant mechanical systems or technologies.
• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
