Medical Laboratory Technologist at Neema Hospital

Main purpose of the job

Analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and interpretation of results for diagnosis and treatment of patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sample collection from patients
2. Prepare cultures of tissue samples
3. Establish and monitoring programs that ensure data accuracy
4. Microscopically examining slides of bodily fluids
5. Cross-matching blood for transfusions
6. Chemically analyzing blood or urine for toxic components
7. Analyze lab reports for accuracy
8. Operate and calibrating lab equipment
9. Deliver test results to physicians, researchers or patients
10. Collect and studying blood samples to determine morphology
11. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications for the Position

1. Diploma Medical Laboratory Science or Bachelor of science in                Medical Laboratory Science
2. Registered member of KMLTTB
3. At least 1 year of experience
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Keen on detail with a high degree of accuracy
6. Computer literacy
7. Ability to work under pressure
8. Compassion/ empathy
9. High level of Integrity
