We are looking for a proactive impact-focused Medical Supplies Category Merchandiser Intern to successfully propel ShopIt in ensuring a versatile and thriving Medical Supplies Products Category - https://shopit.co.ke/health-and-medical-supplies/ -(Hospital & Medical Devices, Mobility & Orthopedic Supplies, Medical Apparel, Personal Medical Care, etc) that emulates and complies with ShopIt Customer Expectations and company operations. To be successful as a Medical Supplies Category Merchandiser at ShopIt you should be detail-oriented and adept in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment when it comes to Medical Supplies Products and complementary services. You must possess a commercial mindset fueled by integrity and have adequate comprehension of marketing and sales principles.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Medical Supplies Category Tree Development (Merchandising); Develop and implement category strategies and plans to achieve sales and profit targets in Medical Supplies.
2. Monitoring and Adjusting Market Dynamics (Customer preferences, industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations).
3. Medical Supplies products catalog and products content (Specifications); Manage Medical Supplies product assortment (planning, selection, and optimization).
4. Conduct regular performance reviews of Medical Supplies product categories to ensure customer quality expectations and trends-conscious, monitoring competitor Medical Supplies products and pricing to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
5. Oversight of Medical Supplies Products’ pricing policy and its enforcement
6. Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful Medical Supplies products and revitalizing dormant Medical Supplies products.
7. Medical Supplies Products information and quality assurance; Devising long-term development strategies for Medical Supplies products category.
8. Medical Supplies Competitors profile and pricing comparison Database Management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Diploma in Healthcare, Procurement and Supply Chain management for Health/Medical Devices, Diagnostics, and Equipment,  Hospital/Health Business Administration, Healthcare Sales and Marketing, or a related field in the Medical/Healthcare field.
2. Proven Experience in product(s) category merchandising or related roles, with a proven track record of customer service and driving sales growth and profitability with Health and Medical Supplies Products.
3. Proficiency in using category management software and tools.
4. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
5. Strong communication, management, and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
7. Strong customer service and  customer care skills
8. Experience in the IT, Retail, or e-Business industry is a plus
9. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and proactively influence others.
