Requirement for Appointment

• Served for at least three (3) years in the grade of Mortician I;
• Must be in possession of a recognized Diploma or Degree in Funeral Services Education or Mortuary Science from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in computer application skills from a recognized institution; 
• Demonstrate outstanding ability in handling mortuary and funeral services; and 
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning, supervision and coordination of embalming and funeral services and heading mortuary unit;
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment; and
• Participate in the supervision and counselling of staff and students attached to the mortuary.
