Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Aster Healthcare

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi County, Kenya, for a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. The nurse will be responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Daily responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, operating and maintaining neonatal medical equipment, and providing emotional support to families. The role also involves collaborating with physicians, neonatal specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional and compassionate care to neonates.

Qualifications

• Trained and licensed Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse (NICU RN) with specialized expertise in high-acuity neonatal care.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in NICU or pediatric care.
• Proven ability to care for critically ill and premature newborns, including ventilator and IV management.
• Compassion, patience, and strong attention to detail.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
