    Night Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to join our team at a prestigious hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. As the Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of service and security.

    • Manage and supervise all overnight hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and security
    • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally
    • Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
    • Monitor and maintain guest accounts, performing end-of-day financial reconciliations
    • Implement and enforce security protocols to ensure the safety of guests and staff
    • Coordinate with other departments to address any maintenance or operational issues that arise during the night shift
    • Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, making decisive actions when necessary
    • Prepare detailed shift reports and communicate important information to the day team
    • Train and mentor night shift staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
    • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, local regulations, and industry standards

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Night Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and exceed guest expectations
    • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera) and Microsoft Office suite
    • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
    • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
    • Thorough understanding of hotel security procedures and emergency protocols
    • Flexibility to work overnight shifts and adapt to changing priorities
    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
