    Nurse Manager

    LOCATION: KISII/SIAYA

    Overall Responsibility

    The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit while ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve unit operations and patient care.
    2. Lead, manage, and support the nursing staff in the unit, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
    3. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
    4. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by the nursing team.
    5. Oversee patient care plans and ensure they meet the needs of patients and their families.
    6. Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
    7. Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    8. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies.
    9. Oversee the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
    10. Implement and monitor quality improvement programs and patient safety initiatives.
    11. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
    12. Work closely with other healthcare professionals and departments to coordinate patient care and services.
    13. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and hospital committees.

    Job Qualifications & Skills

    1. Be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; 
    2. Possess a valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
    3. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    4. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
