Oven Operator at Gap Recruitment Services Limited

 Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for making sure the work area is prepared. This includes, but is not limited to: Organizing oven racks, Looking over the schedules for the day’s production demands
• Monitoring the proof boxes and products coming out of the proof boxes. This includes, but is not limited to: Pulling bread at specified heights, monitoring proof box temperature/humidity, monitoring proof times and reporting discrepancies/concerns to the Production Manager
• Responsible for reading, understanding and adhering to the standardized information on the oven charts.
• Responsible for loading ovens with the appropriate product, monitoring bake times and temperatures
• Ensuring that the bread looks right. food safety and quality issues must be reported to the Production Manager immediately.
• Documenting all the required information on the oven sheets
• Responsible for equipment sanitation during down time

 Key kills & Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as an oven operator
• Well conversant with Kisumu and western region is an added Advantage 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English Language
• Time management skills are essential for the job.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to reason and think quickly.
