    Partnerships Coordinator

    Responsibilities: 

    Partnership Management & Civil Society Engagement:

    • Identify and foster CSO and NGO relationships of strategic value to DRC with the support of area and program staff
    • Develop a partnership strategy and framework for DRC Kenya, reflective of the context and program priorities in each area office
    • Programme lead for the CSO Capacity Development Project 
    • Lead on CSO capacity development initiatives for partners (including through external experts)
    • Adapt DRC global tools and SoPs for partner selection, management, and capacity development, along with global partnership advisor
    • Oversee timely and quality completion of partner deliverables and reports in accordance with workplans and donor guidelines.
    • Support on partner and sub-award management

    Knowledge management and learning:    

    • With the support of the MEAL Manager, develop and implement a CSO learning framework modelled on the DRC Partner Capacity Development Guide strengthening the effort to document the impact of HDP’s activities.

    Program Management and Support: 

    • Coordinate between support services and programmes to promote the development and mainstreaming of effective CSO engagements approaches in compliance processes.
    • Lead on partner engagement during proposal design processes, in line with relevant technical coordinators and program managers

    Fundraising:

    • Along with the Programme Development and Quality Manager, develop sample business cases for funding support within DRC priority sectors 
    • Contribute to the identification of new donors and financial partners

    Experience and technical competencies:  

    • Minimum 5 years of NGO experience in a senior programmatic capacity involved in delivering humanitarian or development programs  
    • Good programme management skills, including capacity to prepare logical, coherent and consistent content (proposals, budgets, logframes, reports).
    • Communication skills: excellent written and articulate oral communication skills, particularly in English.
    • Experience delivering targeted and high-quality technical training and capacity building, including in settings with remote technical management.
    • Ability to work rapidly with staff in the field directly and remotely.
    • Capacity to work in multi-sector teams, including coordinating technical input into proposals.
    • Familiarity with requirements of key humanitarian donors and capacity to work in a multi-donor environment.
    • Previous technical advisory and/or implementation experience working in volatile and access constrained contexts – is required

    Education: 

    • University Degree in Conflict Resolution, International Relations, International Development or another relevant field.
    • A Post graduate degree is an added advantage
