We are seeking to recruit a People Associate to join the People team and support HR and office administration duties. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, strong organizational skills, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The role will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities:
People and Culture Support
Assist in recruitment process, including job posting, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, drafting offer letters and employment contracts.
Support employee onboarding process and offboarding by ensuring all meetings are scheduled and required documentation is completed.
Support performance review processes by sending the communication, tracking progress and sending reminders.
Assist in implementing wellbeing programs, employee engagement and company culture initiatives.
Help manage people's team policies, ensuring all staff have signed the employee handbook and are informed of the guidelines and employee benefits.
Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees on the medical insurance cover.
Drafting of bank, Visa and employment letters.
Manage work permit applications.
Address people team related employee inquiries and escalate concerns as needed.
Office Administration
Oversee inventory management and ensure office supplies are well-stocked.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe office environment.
Support IT in coordinating work tools sourcing, issuance and collection upon joining and exiting.
Manage office correspondence, and documentation ensuring compliance with data protection act.
Qualifications and experience:
Relevant qualification in human resources, office administration, or a related role.
2+ years of experience in human resource management.
Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diversed workforce
Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal and people skills.
Must have excellent emotional intelligence, including empathy, awareness and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
