Pharmaceutical Technologist (2 position) at Kenya Medical Research - KEMRI

Person specification:

For appointment to this grade the candidate must have:

•  Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or its equivalent from a  recognized institution;
•  Registration Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons board;
•  Must have previous experience working in clinical trials and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
•  Additional qualification or training in health research related field is desirable
•  Proficiency in computer application

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Dispensing of investigational products and other concomitant medications;
•  Verifying and maintaining information relating to study participants
•  Ordering and recording of drugs and other supplies;
•  Custody and storing of drugs;
•  Ensuring that the working environment meets the stipulated requirements
•  Perform data entry and timely resolution of queries raised;
•  Ensuring accountability of study drugs and all section related consumables
•  Timely compilation and sharing of section reports
•  Participate in development of section documents including SOPs
•  Perform other duties as delegated

Terms of Employment

One (1) year renewable contract as per KEMRI scheme of service with a probation period for the first 3 months. Salary is as per the stated KEMRI scale.
